USAA - Zelle
Project Summary
USAA wanted to add Zelle to their existing iOS and Android apps while keeping the experience familiar and consistent for their members.
Challenge
The tricky part was balancing two very strict sets of UX standards—Zelle’s requirements and USAA’s existing design guidelines—without the experience feeling forced or inconsistent.
Solution
I created a shared design system that met both Zelle and USAA’s standards. Once it was approved, I used it to design and prototype the full Zelle experience across iOS and Android, allowing all stakeholders to review and sign off on the designs before development even started.
Results / Impact
Because everything was aligned and approved upfront, development needed little to no rework, and QA wrapped up nearly 40% faster compared to similar past projects.
