Kapitus Business and Retail Onboarding
Project Summary
Kapitus Bank wanted to introduce a new onboarding experience that would work for both Retail and Business banking customers.
Challenge
The complexity came from the very different security and regulatory needs between the two. Business banking required more than twice the number of screens, which made it difficult to create a flow that felt cohesive and not overwhelming.
Solution
I designed a flexible onboarding experience that could expand for business users while still feeling simple and approachable for retail customers. To support this, I built a new design system specifically for the onboarding journey and validated it through extensive usability testing with existing customers.
Results / Impact
Both Retail and Business banking teams were able to use the same design system, which shortened time to launch, reduced QA effort, and led to higher overall customer satisfaction.
