WSECU Mobile Apps Redesign
Project Summary
WSECU wanted to modernize their digital banking experience by bringing the same clarity and ease of use from desktop to mobile. The goal was to create iOS and Android apps that felt familiar to existing users while still being designed specifically for mobile.
Challenge
The main challenge was translating a full desktop experience to mobile without stripping away important functionality—or making the app feel cramped or overly complex.
Solution
I ran user testing with both existing members and potential new users to understand what mattered most on mobile. Using those insights, I designed a mobile experience that borrowed the best parts of the desktop platform while fully embracing mobile-first patterns and interactions.
Results / Impact
The redesigned iOS and Android apps saw a 40% increase in App Store ratings compared to the previous banking app, reflecting improved usability and overall user satisfaction.
